Why therapy?

I believe that beneath all our adaptations — the learned ways of thinking, feeling, and acting, even when they turn harshly toward ourselves or others — there remains an untouched core: whole, radiant, and profoundly human. At our core, we are not, and cannot be, broken.

A psychotherapist is someone whose task is to help you find new, more helpful ways of thinking, feeling, and behaving. The fact is, we all have a framed view of ourselves, others, and the world around us in a particular, but limited way. Do I think about myself as lovable or as a failure? Are other people friendly and trustworthy or selfish and dishonest? And what about the world? Is it a good place or bad place?

If anxiety, depression, emotional instability, relationship(s) challenges or work-related problems are your constant companions, it is a good time re-examine your framework.

What should you expect from a therapy session? The therapy I provide is a collaborative and a contractual process where we together agree on goals and ways of working, and share equal responsibility for your journey. You will find a safe, supportive space for understanding yourself, trying out new choices and thus opening your way to personal growth and fulfilment.
