About me

My name is Zane Sauka, and I offer psychotherapy and counselling using the Transactional Analysis (TA) method. TA is a psychological approach used in psychotherapy and counselling as well as other disciplines. You can read more about TA here. Currently, I’m a trainee-psychotherapist at the Berne Institute in the UK (www.theberne.com) working towards an internationally acknowledged CTA (Certified Transactional Analyst) qualification in psychotherapy. I hold qualifications in counselling and redecision therapy.

I first encountered TA on my own personal journey while running a business in a totally different field. I was fascinated by TA’s effectiveness in providing helpful, more informed perspectives on myself, others, and the world around me—something that felt releasing and empowering at the same time. Since then, TA has been a significant part of my daily life.

I’ve been seeing individual clients since 2020, and, as I write this, I have accumulated more than 300 client-hours. The issues I work with include relationships, parenting, burnout, anxiety, depression among others. Lately, I’ve been especially interested in couples therapy.

Each client is very special to me, and my wish is that our sessions will be a safe space for you to connect with the beautiful person you truly are.

I am available for private sessions in person in Riga, Latvia, or via Zoom, and I am working in both Latvian and English. For client reviews, see here. More about why would anyone need counselling or psychotherapy, see here. If you’d like to book a free introductory session or chat with me, please contact me at zane.sauka@gmail.com, LinkedIn or What’s Up +371 2 9194600.
